The Canonical Visitation in Sacred Heart Province, Tinsukia took place towards the end of February through mid-April 2022. The Province has its presence in the States of Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharastra and Kerala.
Visitation is a significant experience of animation that brings bundles of joy and blessing individually and collectively. It aims to encourage and motivate sisters carrying out the evangelical activities and to affirm the bonds that unite us to our Congregation.
The Province is grateful to Rev. Sr. Philomena Mathew our Superior General, Sr. Christine Mynsong the Assistant General, Sr. Bridget Diengdoh General Councillor for Evangelization, Sr. Rose Paite General Councillor for Social Apostolate and Sr. Katherine Joseph General Councillor for Education for their time that they gave us in visiting the different region with an attitude of benevolence and also the councils. The guided meditations, conferences and personal meetings that happened during the visitation opened an avenue towards personal growth. It provided ambience for sisters to spend quality time to share the challenges, struggles, achievements and contributions made in the mission field and everyday life. The visit also made it possible for the General team to interact and give faith instructions to men, women, youth and children of the Parish Centres. The sick and the poor were visited and given spiritual assistance and help.
During their visit to different region, a warm welcome was accorded to them by sisters, teachers, students and the faithful showing the unique culture of the place and its diversity.
Another remarkable aspect of the Canonical Visitation was the courtesy visit and meeting of the local ordinary wherever our sisters work. They exchanged pleasantries for the support and encouragement received for our missionary apostolate.
The Canonical Visit was a great success. We thank the Almighty God for all his blessings and the gracious moments we had during the Canonical Visitation of our dear Mother and the General Councillors.
