Superior General and Council visits Sacred Heart Province, Tinsukia

The Province was blessed with the canonical visitation of our Superior General and her Councillors, who arrived on August 1, 2025. This sacred time of grace marked a significant moment in the life of our Province, bringing renewed spiritual vitality and deeper communion with the charism of our congregation. Upon their arrival, the Superior General and her Councillors graciously divided themselves to reach every corner of our Province. This thoughtful arrangement enabled them to visit the various communities, ensuring that each sister had the privilege of a personal encounter with our leaders. Their presence in our communities was a proof to their care and commitment to walking alongside each member of the Province.

The canonical visitation proved to be an extraordinary time of grace for the province. In every community they visited, the Superior General and Councillors were received with tremendous enthusiasm and overflowing joy. The sisters prepared their hearts and homes to welcome them, and the warmth of their reception reflected the deep love and

reverence held for them. The atmosphere in each community was one of celebration and gratitude. Sisters shared their joys and challenges, their hopes and aspirations, finding in the visitors attentive listeners and compassionate guides. The visitation became a sacred space for dialogue, reflection, and spiritual renewal.

The impact of this canonical visitation has been profound and multifaceted. Sisters across all communities experienced a genuine renewal of their religious life and love for the congregation. The words of encouragement, wisdom, and affirmation shared by the Superior General and her Councillors brought new energy and hope to the Province. The members felt revitalized in their vocations, finding fresh inspiration to live our consecrated life with greater fervor. It also brought deep sense of joy that continues to resonate throughout the Province. The encouragement received has strengthened bonds of unity and renewed dedication to the mission we share.

Conclusion of the Visitation

The canonical visitation culminated in a significant meeting between the General Council and the Provincial Council on September 17, 2025. This provided an opportunity for deeper dialogue about the life of the Province, its achievements, challenges, and future directions. The Province stands deeply indebted to our Superior General and her Councillors for their generous gift of time, their genuine interest, and their profound concern for the welfare of each sister and inspiring us to live our charism with greater authenticity and joy.

Their visit went beyond mere duty; it was a true expression of maternal care and spiritual accompaniment. We are grateful for their patient listening and wise counsel, heartfelt encouragement and affirmation, Genuine concern for each sister’s well-being, Spiritual guidance and inspiration and Vision for our continued growth and mission. Our hearts overflow with gratitude to God for this blessed time of canonical visitation. The grace received during these weeks will continue to bear fruit in the months and years ahead. We move forward with renewed commitment, carrying in our hearts the encouragement and wisdom shared with us, and maintaining the spirit of communion that was so beautifully manifested during this sacred time. May the Lord continue to bless our Superior General and her Councillors for their loving service to the entire congregation, and may the fruits of this visitation continue to flourish in our Province.

The 5th YAC Convention-2025

The 5th YAC Convention was held on April 25th-28th, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hr. Sec. School, Padumpukhuri, Dimapur. The Remarkable event of the Province was organized by Rev. Sr. Celina Surin, the Provincial Councilor for Evangelization. Approximately 485 young apostles from various unit under Sacred Heart Province, Tinsukia participated under the theme “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations”,

The convention commenced with an inaugural function where the Superior General, Rev. Sr. Christine Mynsong was welcomed with a Naga traditional dance. The inaugural function was featured by placing of the YAC flag by Rev. Sr. Ancy Varghese, the Provincial Superior and the YAC unit flag by each unit leaders. The chief guest Rev. Sr. Christine Mynsong the Superior General and the guest of honor, Rev. Sr. Ancy Varghese, the Provincial Superior gave an inspiring talks emphasizing on courage in proclaiming the Word as Young Apostles. The convention featured four main sessions focusing on different aspects of youth spiritual development.
Throughout the convention, the speakers namely –Rev. Fr. John Minj, the Youth Director of Dibrugarh Diocese, Sr. Rita Kera MSMHC, Sr. K. C. Sarah MSMHC, Sr. Celina Surin MSMHC, who animated the four sessions emphasized on the theme of making the YAC an effective young disciples. The Convention provided a platform for building self-confidence and leadership qualities. Competitions like choir, skit, quiz, and extempore speech were conducted to help the children expand their knowledge of our founder. The Holy Mass on 26thwas officiated by Rev. Bp. James Thoppil the Bishop of Kohima Diocese. On the 2ndday, the Holy Mass was solemnized by Rev. Fr. Joseph Pampakal, the Salesian Provincial of Dimapur Province. A special mention of the event was the election of the new office bearers which was done with much prayer and discernment.
The solemn closing ceremony was also marked by the folding and handing over the Province YAC flag to Rev. Sr. Ancy Varghese, the Provincial by the office bearers Ajit Kerketta and Joseph Tamang. The convention theme “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” will continue to guide the young apostles to transform the world through their witnessing life.

Teachers’ Animation in the Province - 2025

With the dawn of each academic session, educators experience a renewed sense of purpose and vitality as they embrace their profound responsibility to mold and shape the futures of their students. This sacred charge inspires teachers, igniting their commitment to this noble profession that transforms young minds and shapes tomorrow’s leaders. Therefore, our schools organize comprehensive professional development experiences designed to revitalize and inspire our faculty. These enriching sessions served to equip our educators with innovative pedagogical approaches and reignite their passion for the transformative work of education.

Teachers’ Animation at BVFC Model HS School Namrup

The teachers’ animation programme held on 5th April 2025 at BVFC Model HS School was a meaningful and enriching experience designed to appreciate and uplift our dedicated teachers. The event was conducted by Rev Fr. C.P Anto whose presence and insightful words brought depth and inspiration to the gathering.

C.P Anto whose presence and insightful words brought depth and inspiration to the gathering.The program commenced with a prayer and welcome notes by Sr. Rini KC, the Principal. The central theme of the animation“On Innovative Teaching & Challenges of Teacher in the Present Contest” reflected on the vital role of teachers as not just instructors but as crucial guides, supportive mentors and active builders of young lives. Throughout the session Fr.Anto facilitated engaging talks, moments of personal reflection and interactive activities. He reinforces the fundamental values of love for the profession, patience and a strong sense of mission and purpose. He highlighted the value of being compassionate witness in the lives of student.

Combine Teachers’ Animation at St. Mary’s School, Doomdooma

On 29 April, 2025, teachers from St. Stephen HS. School, Tinsukia , Ferrando HS. School Mahadevpur and teachers of St. Mary’s School Doomdooma had one day animation. Sr. Katherine Joseph, the General Councilor for Education served as the resource person for the event. The programme commenced with a warm welcome addressed by Sr. Martha Telen, the Principal of St. Mary’s HS. School, Doomdooma. In the sessions, Sr. Katherine emphasized that the primary objective was to help educators understand and wholeheartedly embrace the concept of holistic education. She further emphasized that the purpose of the animation was not merely to teach better but to become better human beings through the vocation of teaching. She highlighted that true education involves transformation of the heart, and educators are called to be agents of love, tactfulness, and competence. She also shared what it means to be truly dedicated teacher – one who teaches not only with the minds but also with heart.
